Chicago's Brent Barrett to Perform Life Is: The Songs of Kander and Ebb

Olivier Award nominee and Broadway favorite Brent Barrett (Chicago) is set to debut his new cabaret act, Life Is: The Songs of Kander and Ebb, at New York's Metropolitan Room for three performances only from November 10-13.

Directed by Barry Kleinbort with musical direction by Christopher Denny, Life Is is a musical celebration of Broadway songwriting team of John Kander and Fred Ebb, the creators hit Broadway shows such as Cabaret, Chicago, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Steel Pier, Curtains, and The Scottsboro Boys.

Brent Barrett recently finished a run on Broadway, playing Billy Flynn in Chicago. Other recent starring roles include Captain Hook opposite Cathy Rigby in the national tour of Peter Pan. Barrett received an Olivier Award nomination for his starring role in the London premiere of the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Kiss Me, Kate. He also starred in the City Center Encores! production of The Pajama Game.
