Donna Lynne Champlin, Michael Winther, Matt Caplan, Charlie Brady, and Lynne Wintersteller will perform songs from Nathan Tysen and Chris Miller’s musical The Mysteries of Harris Burdick as part of the Broadway at Birdland series, at 7pm on Monday, September 17. The concert replaces a previously announced show pairing Kate Shindle and Michael John LaChiusa.

The show, which is based on the children’s book of the same name by Chris Van Allsburg,
recently had a developmental production at Barrington Stage Company. Miller and Tysen are the co-authors of The Burnt Part Boys, , which will be further developed this season in workshops at the Vineyard Theatre in New York. Among their many honors are the 2007 Kitty Carlisle Hart Award, the 2006 Richard Rodgers Award, and the 2003 Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation Grant.

This month’s Broadway at Birdland series, co-presented by Jim Caruso and Theatermania.com, will also feature I Feel Good, a star-studded tribute to the late James Brown (September 10), singer-songwriters Amanda Green and Tom Kitt, with special guests Jenn Colella, Jonathan Dokuchitz, and Jon Patrick Walker (September 16), singer Nancy Anderson (September 23), Legally Blonde composer-lyricist Larry O’Keefe (September 24), and a solo show by Champlin (September 30).
