Castle. Dahlia, First Vote '08, et al. Will Be Part of The Art of Justice Series
Next up, at 7pm on October 24, 25, and 27 will be a free production of Seth Bauer's new play Dahlia: A Very New True Theatrical Fantasia, based on the real-life grisly 1947 murder of an aspiring actress, to be directed by Heath Cullens with video projections by Tal Yarden. The play will star Michael Pemberton, Joshua Stafford, Dawn McGee, Jillian Owens, Eileen Rivera, and Ching Valdes.
On Monday, November 3 at 7:30pm will be First Vote '08: Trust Us - This Won't Hurt A Bit, a group of short plays, songs, and sketches about first-time voters by William Pomerantz, to benefit the Epic Theatre Ensemble. Participants will include Tanya Barfield, Mia Barron, Stephen Belber, Leila Buck, Kathleen Chalfant, Julia Cho, Colman Domingo, Melissa Friedman, Alexandra Gersten-Vassilaros, Rachael Holmes, Bill Irwin, Tony Kushner, Teri Lamm, Judith Light, Craig Lucas, Godfrey L. Simmons, Jr., Nilaja Sun, David Strathairn, James Wallert, Sarah Winkler, and David Zellnik.
Finally, on December 4 at 7:30pm will be The Universal Declaration of Rights Human Rights 60th Anniversary Concert, which will feature speeches and performances by Harry Belafonte, Sirena Huang, Camellia Johnson, Gloria Steinem, and many others.For more information, call 212-279-4200.
