Casting Director Vincent Liff to be Memorialized

Noted casting director Vincent G. Liff, who died on February 25 at age 52 after a long battle with a brain tumor, will be memorialized at Broadway’s Majestic Theatre in a ceremony to begin at 2:30pm on Tuesday, May 13.

Liff and his business partner Geoffrey Johnson ran Johnson Liff Associates — one of the most respected and successful theater casting agencies — for over three decades. They cast more than 60 productions, including such hits as The Wiz, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Amadeus, Cats, Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Guys and Dolls, Sunset Boulevard, Contact, and The Producers.

Among the Broadway stars scheduled to perform at the memorial service are Peter Gallagher (Noises Off, Guys and Dolls), Rebecca Luker (The Music Man, The Secret Garden), Anne Runolfsson (James Joyce’s The Dead , Victor/Victoria), Randy Graff (A Class Act, City of Angels), Judy Kuhn (Passion, Les Misérables), Willy Falk (Miss Saigon), Liz Callaway (The Look of Love, Miss Saigon), Cady Huffman (The Producers, The Will Rogers Follies), Norm Lewis (Amour, The Wild Party), Emily Skinner (My Life With Albertine, Side Show), and Lauren Kennedy (Les Misérables, Side Show). There will also be tributes from Biff Liff, Martha Smith, Geoff Johnson, Susan Stroman, Cameron Mackintosh, Frank Vlastnik, Bill Rosenfield, Ken Yung, and Ursala Liff.

The event is open to the public and there will be no reserved seating.
