Cast, Creative Team Announced for The Meatpackers Book Club at Philadelphia Theatre Workshop

Full casting and creative team information has been announced for the Philadelphia Theatre Workshop production of Kathy Anderson’s The Meatpackers Book Club, May 30-June 14, to be directed by Bill Felty.

The Meatpackers Book Club centers on a group of employees at a meatpacking plant who start a book club. Discussions about literature break out in fistfights, and to rise above the raw gore of their daily lives, they discuss Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, The Life of Pi, and the proper way to hack animal carcasses. The cast will feature Daniel DeRosier, Jerry Rudasill, Kristen Schier, and Nick Suders.

The creative team will include Melissa Black (costume design), Stephen Hungerford (set design), and Christiana Molldrem (lighinng design).
