, Terry Johnson's stage adaptation of Charles Webb's novel (and Mike Nichols' acclaimed film version), will close on Broadway on Sunday, March 2, after having played 24 previews and 380 regular performances.

The show, a coming of age story in which young college grad Benjamin Braddock learns about life and love, opened on April 4, 2002, to reviews that mostly praised the nude scene of the show's original star, Kathleen Turner. In their review of the show for TheaterMania, Barbara and Scott Siegel wrote, "Overall, this is one of those nights in the theater that make you wish you were at the movies."

Lorraine Bracco (TV's The Sopranos), who took over the role of the dangerous Mrs. Robinson from Turner in November, was originally slated to leave the show on February 23 but has extended her contract one week to continue performing with the cast -- which also features John Lavelle as Benjamin and Andrea Anders as Elaine Robinson -- through the final performance on March 2.

Tickets for The Graduate at the Plymouth Theatre, 236 West 45th Street, may be purchased by calling Telecharge at 212-239-6200.
