For several years now, Bryant Park--that sylvan spot on Sixth Avenue at 42nd Street, behind the main branch of the New York Public Library--has been a haven for film buffs with its summertime series of outdoor movies, including film adaptations of classic Broadway shows. But, this summer, the park is offering the real thing.

Beginning on Thursday, July 5 and continuing through August, the casts of a number of Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals will give free outdoor concerts in the park, every Thursday at lunchtime. The series is hosted by Jammin 105 Radio under the umbrella title Broadway In Bryant Park, and the schedule is as follows:

The Music Man, July 5 at noon and 1:05pm

Aida, July 12 at 12:15pm and 1:15pm

Beauty and the Beast, July 12 at 12:40pm and 1:40pm

Kiss Me Kate, August 2 at noon and 1:05pm (hosted by Linda Lavin, star of The Tale of the Allergist's Wife)

Stomp, August 9 at noon and 1:05pm

Blast!, August 9 at 12:40pm and 1:45pm

42nd Street, August 16 at noon and 1:25pm

Cabaret, on a Thursday date to be announced
