Bruce Vilanch To Host 8th Annual Nightlife Awards

Emmy Award winner Bruce Vilanch will host the 8th Annual Nightlife Awards at The Town Hall, to be held on January 25. The awards show honors outstanding performers in the categories of cabaret, comedy and jazz in the clubs of New York. The winners of the awards, as well as presenters, will be announced at a later date.

Vilanch played Edna Turnblad in the Broadway production of Hairspray and appeared Off-Broadway in Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell and his solo show, Bruce Vilanch: Almost Famous. Vilanch has contributed material to numerous Academy Awards broadcasts and has worked extensively with such performers as Bette Midler, Lily Tomlin, and Joan Rivers.
