Bruce Norris' new play, The Qualms, currently running at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre, will be presented off-Broadway under the auspices of Playwrights Horizons next spring. Directed by Tony winner Pam MacKinnon, who helms the Chicago production, the dark comedy is set to begin performances May 22, 2015, at the company's Mainstage Theater.

The Qualms follows Chris and Kristy, a newly married couple attempting to become the newest members of a group of friends who gather to eat, drink, do drugs, and partner-swap. The Steppenwolf production features Greg Stuhr and Diane Davis in principal roles, alongside Kate Arrington, Owais Ahmed, Karen Aldridge, Kirsten Fitzgerald, Keith Kupferer, David Pasquesi, and Paul Oakley Stovall. No casting for the Playwrights Horizons production has been announced.

Norris, MacKinnon, and Playwrights Horizons previously collaborated on the off-Broadway premiere of Norris' Pulitzer Prize-winning Clybourne Park, which later transferred to Broadway. Norris' The Pain and the Itch had its New York premiere at Playwrights Horizons in 2006.
