Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts Announces Season

The Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts has announced the selections for its 2009-2010 season.

Theatrical events will include the Irving Berlin revue I Love a Piano (September 13), Harold and the Purple Crayon (October 11), Of Mice and Men (November 22), Hairspray (January 24), and Tap Kids (April 25).

Other dance and music events include the Luna Negra Dance Theatre with the Turtle Island Quartet and jazz great Paquito D’Rivera (October 25), The Colonial Nutcracker (December 13), The Clark Sisters (January 23), The Israeli Ballet (February 21), The National Dance Theater Company (March 6-7), The Odessa Philharmonic (March 13), Sleeping Beauty (March 14), The Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band (March 20), David Broza (March 21), Irvin Mayfield and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra (April 10), The Chinese Acrobats of Hebei (April 18), and the United States Air Force Band of Liberty (May 16).
