Bronx Bombers Opens Tonight on Broadway

The Yankees take their swing at the Great White Way.

Eric Simonson's New York Yankees-themed drama Bronx Bombers celebrates its official Broadway opening tonight at the Circle in the Square Theatre. Both written and directed by Simonson, the play gathers together a dream team of some of the Yankees most legendary talents. Real-life married couple Peter Scolari and Tracy Shayne lead the cast as Yogi and Carmen Berra, along with Francois Battiste (Reggie Jackson/Elston Howard), Chris Henry Coffey (Joe DiMaggio), Bill Dawes (Mickey Mantle/Thurman Munson), Christopher Jackson (Derek Jeter), Keith Nobbs (Billy Martin), John Wernke (Lou Gehrig), and C.J.
