The Broadway production of Red, performing at the Golden Theatre, will hold an Actors Fund special performance on Sunday, June 20 at 7pm.

Michael Grandage directs the production, which stars Alfred Molina, who plays artist Mark Rothko, and Eddie Redmayne. The production has received seven 2010 Tony Award nominations, including for Best Play and for both actors.

The play is set in 1958 when Rothko received the art world’s largest commission to create a series of murals for The Four Seasons restaurant in the new Seagram building on Park Avenue. Under the watchful gaze of his young assistant, and the threatening presence of a new generation of artists, Rothko faces his greatest challenge yet: to create a definitive work for an extraordinary setting.
