The new Broadway musical Finding Neverland, which opened April 15 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, has announced plans for a U.S. tour, beginning in upstate New York on October 7, 2016. Venue information will be announced at a later date.

The new musical adaptation of the 2004 Harvey Weinstein film is directed by Diane Paulus (Pippin). The musical made its world premiere at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Featuring a score by Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy and a book by James Graham, Finding Neverland explores the friendship of playwright J.M. Barrie and Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, a widowed mother whose four boys inspired the beloved Peter Pan stories.

Leading the Broadway company are Matthew Morrison as J.M. Barrie, Kelsey Grammer as Charles Frohman, Laura Michelle Kelly as Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, and Carolee Carmello as Mrs. Du Maurier.

"Finding Neverland is an enchanting musical for people of all ages and backgrounds everywhere," said Paulus. "We're thrilled to share the show with audiences all over the United States."

Ticketing and full location information for the national tour will be announced in the future.
