The search for the young boy to play Ralphie in the upcoming Broadway production of A Christmas Story, the Musical is going national.

Young performers are invited to enter the Are You Our Next Ralphie? contest for a chance to star in the holiday musical, which will play the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre from November 6 to December 30. All they have to do is record a video of them singing a brief song (either a holiday tune or a classic Broadway belt number) that shows off their high notes, personality, and voice, and upload it, along with a recent photo or headshot and resume (or a brief paragraph about yourself in a Word Document), on the show’s website.

Casting directors are looking for boys with unchanged voices, who are under 4’11’, and can play 10-11. The role was originated in the iconic film version by Peter Billingsley. Rehearsals begin on October 1.

A Christmas Story features a score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, with a book by Joseph Robinette based on the writings of Jean Shepherd and the 1983 film. The production is directed by John Rando, with choreography by Warren Carlyle.
