Broadway to Dim Lights on July 12 in Honor of Tony Award Winner Martin Pakledinaz
Pakledinaz is currently represented on Broadway by Nice Work If You Can Get It which earned him a 2012 Tony Award nomination, and the national tour of The Normal Heart.
He received a total of 10 Tony nominations, and won for Thoroughly Modern Millie and Kiss Me Kate.
In a career that spanned more than 30 years, he designed dozens of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, regional theater productions. Among his many recent credits were the Roundabout Theatre's revivals of Anything Goes and Man and Boy, Manhattan Theater Company's Master Class, City Center Encores! Bells Are Ringing and Arena Stage's Oklahoma!.
Pakledinaz also taught on the graduate level at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, and worked extensively with numerous dance and opera companies, including the Mark Morris Dance Group.
He is survived by six brothers and one sister, nine nieces and nephews, and his godson, Robert Gabriel Hill-Guarino.
