The first annual benefit concert Broadway Sniffs Out Cancer will be presented at Joe's Pub on October 10. The event plans to raise money to "train our canine friends to save lives, as well as honoring of the loved ones we’ve lost to cancer."

Broadway stars will unite for one night only to raise money to support two of the international organizations at the forefront of this cutting-edge method of early detection: InSitu Foundation Certification Program — a U.S.-based not-for-profit that created the first medical protocol for the selection, training, and handling of the cancer detection dogs and their handlers; and Medical Detection Dogs — a U.K.-based not-for-profit dedicated to training cancer and bio detection dogs.

The show will feature performances by Corbin Bleu (Holiday Inn), Telly Leung (In Transit), Lindsay Mendez (Significant Other), Rory O’Malley (Hamilton), Jenna Ushkowitz (Waitress), Jenifer Foote (Holiday Inn), Tracy Jai Edwards (Legally Blonde), Alexis Carra (Sweet Charity), Jade Tailor (SyFy’s The Magicians), Virginia Williams (USA Network’s Fairly Legal), and Brianna Brown (Showtime’s Homeland), with others to be announced. Music direction is by Gary Adler (Alterboyz), with Steve Gilewsky on bass and Michael Croiter on drums.

Those who cannot attend the event can make a tax-deductible donation at the Broadway Sniffs Out Cancer website.
