Broadway League Announces 2012 League Educator Apple Award Recipients

The Broadway League has announced its 2012 League Educator Apple Awards, honoring arts educators from Maryland, Michigan, and New York who brought Broadway to their classrooms.

The recipients are Trenton Price (Manager of Operations at Harlem Village Academy Leadership in New York City), Charles “Chuck” D’Imperio (Principal of Livonia Middle School in Livonia, New York), Eric Staib (art teacher at Kinawa Middle School in Okemos, Michigan), and Katrina Stevens (Supervisor of Secondary English Language with Baltimore County Public Schools).

The awards acknowledge the efforts of local schools that support Broadway or touring Broadway shows and promote the further development of theater education. Now in its eighth year, the League’s Education and Community Engagement Committee has honored educators, administrators, and school district leaders from across the country.
