Broadway Grosses and Attendance Up in 2010

The Broadway League has released end-of-year statistics, which show that Broadway grosses were up, with $1.037 billion for 2010, as opposed to $1.004 billion in 2009.

Attendance at Broadway theaters also increased, with 12.11 million in 2010, up from the 2009 total of 11.95 million.

In addition, the League estimates that the week ending on January 2, 2011 “was most likely the highest-grossing week in recorded history,” at $34,997,571.
