Legendary Broadway director Tom O’Horgan will hold an estate sale in his Union Square loft on Saturday, November 3 from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Proceeds will benefit the New York City Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Now in the middle stages of Alzheimer’s disease, O’Horgan has decided to open his Union Square loft to the public to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Filled with rare finds, visitors will be able to view and purchase pieces of Broadway history including the painted gong from the final scene of the original Broadway production of Jesus Christ Superstar.

O’Horgan has directed nearly a dozen Broadway plays including Hair and Jesus Christ Superstar. He has won three Drama Desk Awards (for Lenny, Futz, and Tom Paine) and received a Tony nomination for Hair. He is the only director to have four shows run simultaneously on Broadway. O’Horgan also recently received a 2006 New York Innovative Theatre Award for Artistic Achievement.

Admission to the loft is $25. Those interested in attending call 1-866-500-3279.
