Broadway Backwards Raises Record Funds for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS

The 14th annual edition of Broadway Backwards raised raised $704,491 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in New York City. The previous fundraising record was set last year at $680,273.

Broadway Backwards , which was produced by Broadway Cares at the New Amsterdam Theatre, featured a cast of 130 performers and a live, 12-piece orchestra. It was hosted by Jenn Colella, and featured performances of songs like "Getting Married Today" by Darren Criss and "All I Need is the Girl" by Robyn Hurder and Alexandra Silber.

Creator Robert Bartley directed the show. He was joined by Mary-Mitchell Campbell as music supervisor and Ted Arthur and Christopher D. Littlefield as music directors, with Jeff Brancato as production stage manager.
