Boomerang Announces Line-Up for First Flight Festival

The Boomerang Theatre Company will present the 11th annual First Flight New Play Festival at ART/NY from November 16-20, 2011. Due to the overwhelming amount of quality plays, this year’s festival will also include three “Extended Flight” readings that will take place in December.

First Flight serves as one of the premiere play development festivals in New York City. Previous festivals have included work by Rich Orloff, Colin McKenna, Leslie Bramm, Mike Folie, Lila Rose Kaplan, E.M. Lewis and Sharyn Rothstein.

The festival will include: 17 (November 16) by Jeffrey James Keyes, directed by Kristy Dodson; The Prediction (November 17) by Michael DeVito, directed by Tim Errickson; 4Edges (November 18) by Crystal Skillman, directed by John Hurley; The Machine (November 19) by Susan Ferrara; Riddle Lost (November 19) by Kelly McAllister, directed by Philip Emeott; Gorgeous Intentions (November 20) by Adam Kraar, directed by Michelle Tattenbaum; and Radio Ghosts (November 20) by Greg Romero, with electronic music composition by Mike Vernusky, directed by Marielle Duke.

The “Extended Flight” readings include: September Song (December 5) by Ed Schultz, directed by Dennis Deal; Precedence (December 12) by Michael Champness; and The Firebird (December 19) by Tim Errickson, directed by Christopher Thomasson.
