Steve Blanchard, Mandy Bruno, Christiane Noll, and Jim Stanek will join previously announced star Hunter Foster in the musical Frankenstein, based on the classic novel by Mary Shelley. The production, to be directed by Bill Fennelly, will begin performances at 37 Arts on October 10, with an official opening set for November 1.

The show will feature music by Mark Baron and a book and lyrics by Jeffrey Jackson. It tells the story of a rebel scientist who challenges the laws of nature and morality when he breathes life into his inanimate creature. The show’s ensemble includes Nick Cartell, Struan Erlenborn, Eric Michael Gillett, and Aaron Seretosky.

Blanchard, who will play the creature, recently completed a multi-year run as “the Beast” in Beauty and the Beast. Bruno, who will play Justine, recently appeared on Broadway in Les Miserables and stars as Marina Cooper on the CBS daytime drama Guiding Light. Noll, who will play Elizabeth, was recently seen in the Signature Theatre production of The Witches of Eastwick. She played Emma in the original cast of Jekyll & Hyde. Stanek, who will play Henry, has starred on Broadway in such shows as Lestat and Little Women.

Foster, who will play Victor Frankenstein, was nominated for a Tony Award for his role in Little Shop of Horrors, and has starred on Broadway in Urinetown and The Producers.
