Bianca Marroquin to Return to Broadway’s Chicago

Bianca Marroquin will return to the Broadway production of the musical Chicago, playing the Ambassador Theatre, beginning on Monday, January 16. She will play Roxie Hart opposite the previously reported Latin-American star Marco Zunino.

The musical features a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb.

Marroquin first portrayed the role in the Mexico City production of Chicago, and later made her English-language debut as Roxie on Broadway. Her other Broadway credits include In the Heights and The Pajama Game.

Chicago also currently stars Charlotte d’Amboise as Roxie Hart (through January 15), Bahiyah Hibah as Velma Kelly, Brent Barrett as Billy Flynn (through January 15), Chris Sullivan as Amos Hart and Carol Woods as Matron “Mama” Morton.
