Betty Comden to be Profiled for League of Professional Theatre Women's Oral History Program
In collaboration with Adolph Green, who died last year, Comden wrote the books and/or lyrics for some of the most popular and well known Broadway musicals of the 20th century, including On the Town (in which she also starred with Green), Wonderful Town, Peter Pan, Bells Are Ringing, Do Re Mi, Hallelujah, Baby!, Applause, On the Twentieth Century, A Doll's Life, and The Will Rogers Follies.
The interview will take place on Monday, May 12 in the Bruno Walter Auditorium of the Library of the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center (111 Amsterdam Avenue at 64th Street), beginning at 6pm. Admission is free and open to the public. For further information, call 212-501-6667.
