Bettina Atala’s Multimedia Season 1, episode 2 To Play Florence Gould Hall

Filmmaker Bettina Atala’s new multimedia work Season 1, episode 2 will have its American premiere at Florence Gould Hall September 22. The presentation is part of French Institute Alliance Française’s Crossing the Line 2009 festival, which celebrates French and American artists who are working on both sides of the Atlantic.

Season 1 takes some inspiration from the work of Eugene Ionesco, Jean Genet, and Samuel Beckett. The piece features a film which is created in real time in front of the audience and is interspersed with interruptions, including ones from characters in the film.
