Berry, Burnham, Harnar, Mayes, McKechnie Set for 92nd St Y’s 1959 Broadway Songbook

Updated information has been announced for the 92nd Street Y’s Lyrics & Lyricists presentation of The 1959 Broadway Songbook (May 3-5), which will feature artistic director Jeff Harnar, Sarah Uriarte Berry, David Burnham, Sally Mayes, Donna McKechnie, and music director Alex Rybeck.

McKechnie will recreate a number for the musical Redhead, which originally starred Gwen Verdon. The show is also scheduled to feature songs from Gypsy, The Sound of Music, Fiorello!,My Fair Lady, Take Me Along, Juno, Once Upon a Mattress, West Side Story, Bells Are Ringing, Flower Drum Song, Jamaica, The Music Man, The Nervous Set, Saratoga, Destry Rides Again, and the film Gigi.

The L&L season concludes with Andrea Marcovicci as artistic director and star of Did the American Songbook End in 1965 (May 31-June 2). Her guests will include Francesca Amari, Kelly Houston, Lee Lessack, Stacy Sullivan, and music director Shelly Markham.
