Benjamin Eakley, Martin Vidnovic, Lynne Wintersteller, et al. Set for Pioneer Theatre Company’s Sunset Boulevard

Lynne Wintersteller will star as Norma Desmond in the Pioneer Theatre Company’s presentation of the musical, Sunset Boulevard, featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, with book and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton. John Going will direct the production at the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre in Salt Lake City, April 29-May 14.

Based on the classic 1950 Hollywood film by Billy Wider, Sunset Boulevard is the story of a down-on-his-luck screenwriter who meets an aging silent film star during the Hollywood heydays of the 1940s.

The cast will also feature Benjamin Eakeley as Joe Gillis, Matin Vidnovic as Max von Mayerling, Vanessa Reseland as Betty Schaefer, Bill Nabel as Cecille B. DeMille, Tim Wright as Artie Green, and Ed Romanoff as Sheldrake.

The ensemble will also include Matthew Bellows, Ginger Bess, Michelle Blake, Teresa Bramwell, Eric Lee Brotherson, Sara Kae Childs, Mary Fanning Driggs, Elise Groves, J.C. Hoyt, Justin Ivie, Erick Jackson, Carianne H. Jones, Anne Stewart Mark, Lauren Noll, James Patrick, Nicole Riding, David Sattler, Daniel T. Simons, Jeffrey Scott Stevens, and Tom Zainea.

The creative team will include choreographer Jayne Luke, music director Michael Rice, set designer George Maxwell, costume designer Carol Wells-Day, lighting designer Dennis Parichy, and sound designer Matthew Tibbs.
