Kyle Beltran, David Greenspan, and Others Join Summerworks 2018 Season

Three new works will be presented at the Wild Project.

Clubbed Thumb has announced initial casting for the 23rd season of Summerworks, its annual series of new plays, running this year from May 19 to June 30 at the Wild Project. The series will feature productions of three new plays: Tin Cat Shoes by Trish Harnetiaux and directed by Knud Adams; Wilder Gone by Angela Hanks and directed by Margot Bordelon; and Plano by Will Arbery and directed by Taylor Reynolds.

Tin Cat Shoes will star David Greenspan (Strange Interlude), Emily Cass McDonnell (The Antipodes), Donnetta Lavinia Grays (Men on Boats), Pete Simpson (Middletown), and Kyle Beltran (The Amateurs). The production will feature set design by Kimie Nishikawa, costume design by Sydney Maresca, lighting design by Oona Curley, and sound design by Peter Mills Weiss. Corinn Moreno will serve as production stage manager. Performances run May 19-29.

Wilder Gone will star Jessica Frances Dukes (Bootycandy), Washington Kirk (Nollywood Dreams), Christopher Livingston (Party People), Markita Prescott (Lookingglass Alice), and Hubert Point-Du Jour (Tiny Beautiful Things), with two additional cast members to be announced at a later date. Performances run June 4-14. The creative team will feature set designer Reid Thompson, lighting designer Marie Yokoyama, and sound designer by Kate Marvin.

Plano will star Crystal Finn (Bobby Clearly), Miriam Silverman (Junk), Susannah Flood (The Effect), Ryan King (Deathbed), and Cesar Rosado (Seven Spots on the Sun), with two additional cast members to be announced at a later date. Performances run June 20-30. The production will feature set design by Daniel Zimmerman, costume design by Ari Fulton, and sound design by Mark Van Hare.
