Tony Winner Lena Hall, Christine Lahti, and Mena Suvari Star in Becks
Becks, a new film staring Tony winner Lena Hall, hits cinemas and VOD sites today.
Written by Elizabeth Rohrbaugh, Daniel Powell, and Rebecca Drysdale, the film is inspired by the life of singer-songwriter Alyssa Robbins. Becks follows a musician (Hall) who moves back to her childhood home in St. Louis after a crushing breakup with her longtime girlfriend. While performing for tips at a local tavern and struggling to reconnect with her ultra-Catholic mother, she strikes up a unique friendship with the wife of an old nemesis. Becks begins to discover her musical voice as she performs deeply personal songs about her ex and the loss of their relationship.
Joining Hall in the company are Mena Suvari, Christine Lahti, Dan Fogler, Michael Zegen, and Hayley Kiyoko. Directed by Rohrbaugh and Powell, the film is distributed by Blue Fox Entertainment.
