Baz Luhrmann’s William Shakespeare’s Romeo+Juliet, Moulin Rouge to Receive October 19 Blu-Ray Release

Baz Luhrmann’s William Shakespeare’s Romeo+Juliet, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, and Moulin Rouge, starring Nicole Kidman, will be released on high-definition Blu-ray on October 19. Both discs will feature new uncut footage, a live look-up feature powered by IMDB, as well as a host of other never-before-seen material produced by Luhrmann and his creative team at Bazmark.

In addition, there will be special features developed specifically for each film. The Romeo+Juliet disc will feature Shaking Up Shakespeare Picture-in-Picture Mode with audio commentary by Luhrmann and others, Romeo + Juliet: The Music Documentary and filmmaker and Interview galleries.

Bonus material for Moulin Rouge will include an alternate opening sequence featuring Cat Stevens’ hit “Father & Son,” along with Kidman’s first vocal test, a new featurette A Creative Adventure, and The Making of Moulin Rouge documentary.
