Frances Barber, Fiona Button, Deborah Findlay, and Jenny Galloway will join Dame Judi Dench in Michael Grandage’s production of Yukio Mishima’s 1965 Japanese play Madame de Sade, March 13-May 23, 2009, as part of The Donmar Warehouse’s year-long West End residency at Wyndham’s Theatre during the 2008-2009 season.

Madame de Sade, which will be presented in a translation by Donald Keene, focuses on five women who were affected by the debauchery of the Marquis de Sade. Dench will play the Marquis’ mother-in-law, Madame de Montreuil.

The Donmar has just opened Grandage’s production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night; is currently presenting its T.S. Eliot Festival; and will present Tony Award winner Ian McDiarmid’s Be Near Me, with the actor leading a cast of nine, January 22-March 14.
