BAM Announces Plans for New Theater, Cinema, and Opera Biennial
BAM also plans to build another complex, which will include a three-screen cinema, a new exhibition space, and residential housing, as well as upgrade the Harvey Theatre, which is currently home to the Bridge Project production of The Cherry Orchard.
In addition, funds from the campaign will be used to help launch the Opera Biennial in 2010. The first one will be curated by William Christie and include Jonathan Kent’s staging of Henry Purcell’s Fairy Queen and new productions of Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s Aceton and Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas.
