Baker, Harelik, Hecht, et al. Cast in Greenberg’s The House in Town

Becky Ann Baker, Dan Bittner, Mark Harelik, Jessica Hecht, and Armand Schultz will star in Lincoln Center Theater’s world premiere production of Richard Greenberg’s The House in Town, under the direction of Doug Hughes. The show will run May 24 through July 30 and is scheduled to open officially on June 19.

The play tells the story of a marriage in New York City in 1929. Greenberg’s other works include Three Days of Rain, which is currently receiving a Broadway production; A Naked Girl on the Appian Way, which Hughes also directed;, The Violet Hour; and Take Me Out, for which Greenberg won a Tony Award. Hughes is currently represented on the New York stage by Doubt (for which he won a Tony) and Defiance, both by John Patrick Shanley.

Baker appeared on Broadway in Assassins and Titanic. Bittner can be seen in the film version of The Producers. Harelik was in the original cast of Lincoln Center Theater’s The Light in the Piazza. Hecht’s Broadway credits include Julius Caesar and After the Fall. Schultz appeared on Broadway in The Herbal Bed.
