Laura Osnes, Katrina Lenk, and More Celebrate at Composers Choice Gala
Orin Wolf, John Styles, and John Hart were honored at Atlantic Theater Company for their contributions to American musical theater.
Atlantic Theater Company held its annual gala last night at the Plaza. The evening, held in honor of Orin Wolf, John Styles, and John Hart, consisted of Broadway's stalwart composers choosing a personally loved song and a having their favorite musician to perform it. Musical supervision was provided by Matt Gallagher and musical direction by Mat Eisenstein. Photos from the evening are available in the gallery below.
Participants and attendees included Chris Bauer, Susan Birkenhead, Blair Brown, Danny Burstein, Norbert Leo Butz, Michael Cerveris, Kirsten Childs, David Cromer, Hilary Hinkle, Brian Charles Johnson, Rajiv Joseph, Karen Kohlhaas, Judy Kuhn, Katrina Lenk, Rebecca Luker, Peter Maloney, Michael Mayer, Itamar Moses, Joan Osborne, Eloise Mumford, Laura Osnes, Mary Beth Peil, Duncan Sheik, Alex Timbers, Kate Walsh, Alysa Wishingrad, Scott Zigler, and David Yazbek.
Gala contributions make up more than 25 percent of the total donations to Atlantic in an entire season and will benefit Atlantic's annual productions, new play development activities, and arts education initiatives for more than 3,500 public school students across New York City.
