Ashley, Fuller, McRaney, et al. Set for Foote’s Dividing the Estate

Elizabeth Ashley, Hallie Foote, Arthur French, Penny Fuller, and Gerald McRaney will star in the Primary Stages production of Horton Foote’s comedy Dividing the Estate, to run at 59E59, September 18-October 27. The production, to open officially on September 27, will be directed by Michael Wilson.

The cast will also feature Devon Abner, James Colby, Lynda Gravatt, Virginia Kull, Maggie Lacey, Nicole Lowrance, and Keiana Richard. The creative team includes Jeff Cowie (sets), David C. Woolard (costumes), Rui Rita (lights), and John Gromada (sound).

Foote is one of America’s most beloved and prolific playwrights. He won the Pulitzer Prize for The Young Man from Atlanta; his many other plays include The Trip to Bountiful, The Traveling Lady, and The Carpetbagger’s Children. Wilson is the artistic director of Hartford Stage. He directed the Broadway production of Enchanted April and is currently represented on Broadway by the Roundabout Theatre production of Old Acquaintance.
