Ashlee Simpson-Wentz to Join Broadway’s Chicago on November 30

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz will make her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in the Tony Award-winning revival of Chicago from November 30- February 7 at the Ambassador Theatre.

Simpson-Wentz previously portrayed Roxie in 2006 in the West End production of the musical. She recently starred on CW’s Melrose Place, and her other TV credits include MTV’s The Ashlee Simpson Show, 7th Heaven, and Saved by the Bell. Among her releases as a recording artist are Autobiography, I Am Me, and Bittersweet.

Chicago, which features a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, has been directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking, The creative team includes John Lee Beatty (scenic design), William Ivey Long (costume design), Ken Billington (lighting design), and Scott Lehrer (sound design).
