Arthur French to Direct Phyllis Yvonne Stickney in Pecong

Phyllis Yvonne Stickney will star in Take Wing and Soar’s production of Steve Carter’s Pecong, to run March 12-28 at the National Black Theater. Arthur French will direct.

Set on a mythical Caribbean island at the end of the nineteenth century, the play is a reworking of the Medea myth. The company will also feature Lorna Haughton, Joyce Sylvester, Kim Weston Moran, David Heron, Natalie Clarke, Warren Jackson, Daralyn Jay, Aixa Kendrick, Paul Pryce, Lily Robinson, Roderick Warner, and Karl O’Brian Williams.

The creative team will include Palvo Jossyy (scenic design), James Carter (lighting design), and David Withrow (costume design). David D. Wright will perform his original music for the production in addition to serving as sound designer.
