Michael Aronov, Veanne Cox, Erik Jensen, Lisa Kron, and Anabella Sciorra will star in MCC Theater’s upcoming production of Jim Knable’s romantic comedy Spain, which will play the Lucille Lortel Theatre, October 10-November 17. The production, which will open officially on October 30, will be directed by Jeremy Dobrish.

The play concerns Barbara (Sciorra), a recent divorcee who finds solace in her overactive imagination. After conjuring her dream lover — a sexy Conquistador (Aronov) decked out in a full suit of armor — the two embark on a fantastical journey which prompts her to give in to her darkest desires.

The creative team will include Beowulf Boritt (scenic design), Jenny Mannis (costume design), Michael Gottlieb (lighting design), Jill BC DuBoff (sound design), and Rick Sordelet (fight direction).
