Adam and Matthew Arkin, Scott Cohen, Jan Maxwell, and Michele Pawk will star in the Manhattan Theatre Club’s production of Simon Mendes da Costa’s Losing Louie at the Biltmore Theatre. Directed by Jerry Zaks, the show will begin previews on Thursday, September 21 and open officially on Thursday, October 12. Casting for the remaining two roles in the play will be announced at a later date.

In Losing Louie, events from the past and present blend together as two generations of family members work things out in the same bedroom, 50 years apart.
Zaks most recently directed The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial and is a four-time Tony Award winner.

Adam Arkin was most recently seen on Broadway as the star of MTC’s Brooklyn Boy. Matthew Arkin has appeared on Broadway in Laughter on the 23rd Floor and The Sunshine Boys, and will soon be seen at Primary Stages in Indian Blood. Cohen starred in MTC’s production of Warren Leight’s Glimmer, Glimmer and Shine and was part of this year’s Ensemble Studio Theatre Marathon 2006. Maxwell received a Drama Desk nomination for her work in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s recent production of Entertaining Mr. Sloane and the 2005 Drama Desk Award and a Tony Award nomination for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Pawk’s Broadway credits include Hollywood Arms (for which she won a Tony Award), Seussical, Cabaret, and Crazy for You.
