Annika Boras, John Douglas Thompson, et al. Set for TFANA’s Macbeth

John Douglas Thompson and Annika Boras will star in the Theatre for a New Audience production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, as the title character and his ambitious wife. Arin Arbus will direct the production at The Duke on 42nd Street, March 12-April 21, with an opening on March 20.

The cast will also feature Albert Jones as Macduff and Graham Winton as Banquo, along with Justin Blanchard, Steven Boyer, Denis Butkus, Peter Jay Fernandez, Robert Langdon Lloyd, John Christopher Jones, Saxon Palmer, Roslyn Ruff, Christian Rummel, Tommy Schrider, Andrew Zimmerman, and Marquis Rodriguez.

The production will feature scenic and mask designs by Julian Crouch, costume design by Anita Yavich, lighting design by Marcus Doshi, composition and sound design by Sarah Pickett, voice direction by Andrew Wade, and fight direction by B.H. Barry.

Thompson won OBIE and Lucille Lortel awards for his performance in the title role of TFANA’s production of Othello, also directed by Arbis. Boras last performed for TFANA in Chair, for which she received a Lucille Lortel nomination for outstanding featured actress.
