The New Museum will be holding a panel discussion entitled My Chekhov, Not Yours, on Sunday, November 18 at 3pm.

The discussion will focus on radical theatrical interpretations of the writings of Anton Chekhov. Among the panelists is Obie-winning playwright Annie Baker whose take on Uncle Vanya was a recent hit at Soho Rep. Another panelist, Kristen Kosmas, will be bringing There There — focusing on the female understudy of Christopher Walken going on for him in a one-man version of Three Sisters — to P.S. 122 in January.

Annie-B Parson and Paul Lazar of Big Dance Theater will also be part of the panel, discussing The Man in the Case, which stars Mikhail Baryshnikov, and is adapted from a short story by Chekhov about a narrow-minded schoolteacher who is obsessed with following rules. New Museum artist-in-residence Tina Satter of Half Straddle will discuss her upcoming Seagull (Thinking of you), to be presented in conjunction with P.S. 122 in January.
