Annaleigh Ashford, Betsy Wolfe, and More Broadway Stars Join "Born for Broadway" Gala at 54 Below

Broadway stars will sing to commemorate Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month.

The previously announced Born for Broadway Gala has announced its star-studded lineup of performers who will donate their talents on September 30 at 54 Below to help the organization raise funds and awareness for paralysis-based organizations.

Tony nominee Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Ragtime) directs a cast that includes Tony nominee Annaleigh Ashford (Kinky Boots), Aaron Lazar (Mamma Mia!), Adrian Bailey (The Little Mermaid), Ali Stroker (The Glee Project), Andrew Samonsky (South Pacific), Annie Funke (If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet), Betsy Wolfe (The Last Five Years), Carmen Ruby Floyd (After Midnight), Carole Lasser, Chris Pinnella, Graham Rowat (Mamma Mia!), Tony nominee Howard McGillin (The Phantom of the Opera), Jim Brochu (Zero Hour), Tony nominee John Tartaglia (Avenue Q), Tony nominee Karen Akers (Nine), Kathleen Monteleone (Hands on a Hardbody), Marissa Perry (Sister Act), Peter Scolari (Lucky Guy), Steve Rosen (Peter and the Starcatcher), and Timothy McDevitt (Carousel at Lincoln Center). Lawrence Yurman (Far From Heaven) will serve as music director.

In preparation for the gala, Born for Broadway is also accepting 60-second video submissions from members of the Broadway community as well as from theater fans who wish to share their own memories of the moment they knew they were "born for Broadway." Selected videos will be presented at the gala. Participants can upload their videos to Born for Broadway's Facebook page with the hashtag #BFB2013 or email them to info@bornforbroadway.com.
