Andrew Keenan-Bolger will join the Broadway company of Mary Poppins, at the New Amsterdam Theatre, beginning Tuesday, October 12. He will play the role of Robertson Ay, which he originated in the North American touring production of the musical. He replaces Mark Price, who played his final performance in the role on Sunday, October 10.

Based on P.L. Travers’ cherished stories and the classic 1964 Walt Disney film, the show tells the tale of a most unusual nanny and includes the Academy Award®-winning music and lyrics of Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman, as well as new songs and additional music and lyrics from the Olivier Award-winning team of George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.

The Broadway cast is currently headed by Laura Michelle Kelly in the title role and Gavin Lee as Bert, along with Karl Kenzler (Mr. Banks), Megan Osterhaus (Mrs. Banks), Valerie Boyle (Mrs. Brill), Ann Arvia (Miss Andrew), Jessica Sheridan (Bird Woman), and Jonathan Freeman (Admiral Boom). Catherine Missal, Rachel Resheff, and Rozi Baker alternate as Jane Banks; and Christopher Flaim, David Gabriel Lerner, and Ethen Haberfield alternate as Michael Banks.

Keenan-Bolger’s recent Broadway credits include Seussical, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and A Christmas Carol. First national touring credits: Leaf Coneybear in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Young Max in How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Ragtime.
