Anastasia Barzee’s The Dimming of the Day CD Set for September Release

Anastasia Barzee’s debut solo CD The Dimming of the Day will be released by Ghostlight Records on September 27. Matt Pierson has produced the album, which features arrangements by Gil Goldstein.

The disc features a mix of Broadway, pop and jazz-infused songs, including Kate Bush’s “The Man with the Child in His Eyes,” Rufus Wainwright’s “Dinner at Eight,” Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black’s “Nothing Like You’ve Ever Known,” Randy Newman’s “Feels Like Home,” and Jimmy Webb’s “All I Know.”

Barzee’s Broadway credits include Urinetown, Jekyll and Hyde, Miss Saigon, and Henry IV, Parts 1 and 2. In addition, she starred as Josephine in the West End musical Napoleon and appeared as Lorna Moon in Golden Boy for New York City Center’s Encores! series.
