Anastasia Barzee to Offer March 5 Birdland Concert

Anastasia Barzee will celebrate her recently released CD The Dimming of the Day with a concert at Birdland on March 5 at 7pm. The show is part of Jim Caruso’s Broadway at Birdland series

The disc features a mix of Broadway, pop and jazz-infused songs, including Kate Bush’s “The Man with the Child in His Eyes,” Rufus Wainwright’s “Dinner at Eight,” Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black’s “Nothing Like You’ve Ever Known,” Randy Newman’s “Feels Like Home,” and Jimmy Webb’s “All I Know.”

Barzee’s Broadway credits include Urinetown, Jekyll and Hyde, Miss Saigon, and Henry IV, Parts 1 and 2. In addition, she starred as Josephine in the West End musical Napoleon and appeared as Lorna Moon in Golden Boy for New York City Center’s Encores! series.
