Altar Boyz, Groovaloo, NYMF, Toxic Avenger Casts Set to Perform at September 13 Third Avenue Street Fair

The casts of Altar Boyz, Groovaloo, The Toxic Avenger, and New York Musical Theatre Festival shows Max Understood and Cross That River will be among the performers at the 34th Annual Third Avenue Community Benefit Street Fair, a free event to be held on Sunday, September 13 from 11am to 5:30pm.

TheaterMania.com and the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce have joined forces to present an entire block of entertainment on Third Avenue between 73rd and 74th Streets, featuring booths from over 30 of New York’s theater companies, and onstage entertainment between 12:30pm and 3:30pm, hosted by WCBS-FM DJ Joe Causi.

Additional performers will include Opera On Tap, Tada! Youth Theater, Rock Star Karaoke, singer Sarah Jane McMahon, and a special appearance by “Millionaire’s Magician” Steve Cohen. In addition, the day will feature an exclusive sneak preview performance from CBS presents Purgatorio.

The block’s attractions will also include contests, interactive games, special offers, and insider information about the latest happenings on the New York City theater and performing arts scene. All day long, visitors will be able to enter TheaterMania.com’s drawing to win tickets to some of the best shows on Broadway and beyond.

Companies and shows also represented on the block will include the Roundabout Theatre, Hip-Hop Theater Fesitval, Vineyard Theatre, New Victory Theatre, Broadway Unplugged, Awesome 80s Prom, The Marvelous Wonderettes, the New York Philharmonic, Signature Theatre, The New Group, Primary Stages, Vital Theatre, New York Theater Workshop, Titanic The Artifact Exhibition, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Annex.
