All Wrong: Chenoweth, Menzel et al. Miscast by MCC

MCC Theater has announced the performers who will appear in its 2004 spring benefit, Miscast, to be held at Bridgewater’s at the South Street Seaport (11 Fulton Street, New York City) on Monday, April 19.
As in previous years, the event will feature some of Broadway’s leading lights singing musical theater songs associated with roles in which they would never, ever be cast. This year’s lineup includes both stars of the Broadway musical Wicked, Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel, as well as LaChanze, Jai Rodriguez, Denis O’Hare, Michael McKean, Annette O’Toole, and Daphne Rubin-Vega. Scott Wittman will direct.
The benefit is set to begin at 6:30pm with cocktails and a silent auction, followed at 7:30 by dinner and an awards presentation. The performance portion of the evening will start at 9pm. Individual tickets range in price from $300 to $1,200, with tables of 10 available at $6,000 and $12,000. For reservations, call 212-727-7722 ext. 22.
