Alison Fraser to Join Michael Urie in Tennessee Williams’ Dirty Shorts

Alison Fraser will join Michael Urie in Tennessee Williams’ Dirty Shorts, to be offered on Sunday, September 25 as part of the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival. She replaces previously announced star JoAnne Worley.

The evening will consist of the performers reading two bawdy stories from Williams, which celebrate sexual fulfillment. Fraser will read Miss Coynte of Greene, about a scandalous Mississippi Delta spinster crossing the color line. Urie will read The Killer Chicken and the Closet Queen, which centers on a staid Wall Street lawyer who meets his match in a teen-aged boy fresh from the Ozarks.

Fraser’s many theater credits include Gypsy, The Secret Garden, Romance/Romance, The Green Heart, and The Divine Sister.


Urie will star in Classic Stage Company’s upcoming production of The Cherry Orchard, His other theater credits include the recent revival of Angels in America and the world premiere production of The Temperamentals. He is best known for his role as Marc St. James on television’s Ugly Betty.
