Alicia Keys to Host Talkbacks for Broadway’s Stick Fly
Alicia Keys will host talkbacks for the Broadway production of Lydia R. Diamond’s Stick Fly, at the Cort Theatre, following the Monday, December 19 and Thursday, December 22 performances.
The play, directed by Kenny Leon, is set in Martha’s Vineyard, and centers on an upper class African-American family. The company features Rosie Benton (Kimber), Dulé Hill (Spoon), Mekhi Phifer (Flip), Condola Rashad (Cheryl), Tracie Thoms (Taylor), and Ruben Santiago-Hudson (Joe).
Keys is one of the producers for the Broadway production, and has also written original music for the show. She is a Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter, known for songs like “Fallin” and “Empire State of Mind,” and the albums, Songs in A Minor, The Diary of Alicia Keys, and As I Am.
