Alexander Gemignani, Judy Kuhn, Joanna Merlin to Help CAP21 Salute Charles Strouse

CAP21 will salute Tony Award-winning composer Charles Strouse as part of its Rags to Riches benefit, to be held at 6pm on Monday, April 20 at the New York Historical Society.

Joanna Merlin will host the event, which will feature performances by Strouse, Alexander Gemigani, Judy Kuhn, and others.

Strouse is a three-time Tony winner for his scores to Bye Bye Birdie, Applause, and Annie. He was also Tony-nominated for Golden Boy, Charlie and Algernon, Rags, and Nick and Nora, and recently published a memoir, Put on a Happy Face. His newest musical Minsky’s recently concluded a run at the Ahmanson Theater in Los Angeles.
